> ## Agent Instructions
> To query the Token Terminal data catalog, read https://tokenterminal.com/docs/catalog/agents-manual.md first. It is the whole catalog as one page: table naming grammar, key columns, partition and cluster rules, units, additivity, and the tables that are documented but not served yet.
> Never query a catalog table on a time bound alone. Also filter its cluster key, which you read from INFORMATION_SCHEMA.COLUMNS; an empty result means the object is a view, whose pruning contract is on its page. Compute is billed to the caller's own Google Cloud project.

# Tokens

> Every token we see onchain: the contracts, their movements, balances and prices.

A token is one contract on one chain:

* USDT on Ethereum, `0xdac17f958d2ee523a2206206994597c13d831ec7`
* USDC on Solana, `EPjFWdd5AufqSSqeM2qN1xzybapC8G4wEGGkZwyTDt1v`

Every table in this section keys on `token_id`, which is `{token_address}-{chain_id}`, so the same instrument issued on two chains is two tokens and a bridged wrapper of it is a third.

Grouping several tokens into one instrument is a judgment somebody makes, and it lives on [Assets](https://tokenterminal.com/docs/catalog/assets/index.md). Where a token has been matched to a curated asset, `dimensions.asset_tokens` names it on the same `token_id`.

## Tables

[Registry](https://tokenterminal.com/docs/catalog/tokens/registry.md) holds the identity table, and [Transfers](https://tokenterminal.com/docs/catalog/tokens/transfers.md) every fungible movement. [Balances](https://tokenterminal.com/docs/catalog/tokens/balances.md) adds those movements up into holder balances at query time, and [Prices](https://tokenterminal.com/docs/catalog/tokens/metrics.md) holds the USD price per token, by day and by hour.
